Nine Feet Tall to Partner with Local Charity Jessie May

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared 2020 the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife. In a timely collaboration, Nine Feet Tall will be supporting local charity Jessie May in 2020. Jessie May have a 13-strong team of passionate and dedicated nurses who provide care and support to terminally ill children and their families across the South West.

Nine Feet Tall Founder Esther McMorris said “We are delighted to work with Jessie May. Our team are in awe of the work they do to help families going through the most difficult times imaginable.”

Jessie May is a children’s ‘hospice at home’ service. They care for terminally ill children in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Wiltshire and Bath & North East Somerset. Jessie May Nurses provide vital respite care, emotional support, end of life care, and bereavement support alongside family events that help create treasured memories.

Jessie May recognises that the whole family is under huge emotional and physical strain when a child has a life limiting illness. Through their team of dedicated Jessie May Nurses they provide specialist care and support to help alleviate some of this pressure. This support is provided in the comfort of the family’s own home whenever possible from the time of diagnosis onwards.

The partnership will involve Nine Feet Tall raising funds for Jessie May through sponsored events, as well as sharing business skills with Jessie May staff.

Lindsey Horton Corporate Partnerships Manager for Jessie May said: “Our corporate partnerships are a vital part of our fundraising and we are excited to be working with Nine Feet Tall”.
