Context

Roper Rhodes approached Nine Feet Tall to explore options for replacing their SAP ECC system as part of a wider drive to modernise their ERP landscape. The SAP platform was coming out of support and they sought independent guidance on how to de-risk this upgrade and whether to move to a fully integrated, end-to-end solution or adopt a more modular, best-in-class approach.
Current processes were complex with multiple system touchpoints within an enterprise landscape that includes multiple point to point integrations resulting no real time single source of truth. Roper Rhodes sought the help of Nine Feet Tall to identify the critical business requirements and select the future platforms that met their needs.

Delivery

Nine Feet Tall led the initial assessment, defining solution requirements, carrying out market research, vendor longlisting and shortlisting through assessing the requirements and preparing RFP documentation. Nine Feet Tall worked collaboratively with Roper Rhodes to develop an ERP replacement strategy focused on reducing risk and complexity whilst maintaining best in class functionality.
Through stakeholder interviews, detailed process workshops, and business requirements validation, Nine Feet Tall mapped current processes, data flows, and architecture. The resulting strategy proposed a modular approach that would allow SAP functionality to be gradually reduced as new systems were introduced.

Outcome

The project delivered a detailed understanding of business processes and architecture, along with a ready-to-activate RFP package when the client chooses to proceed with selecting their new systems. Roper Rhodes were now setup to progress their transformation vision aligned to their business strategy.
Roper Rhodes praised Nine Feet Tall for quickly grasping the intricacies of their business, aligning with the internal teams, and developing a practical, insight-driven strategy that sets the foundation for a successful ERP transformation.
