ERP system implementation
Murphy Group embarked on a Finance transformation which included the establishment of a shared service centre. Part of this transformation included the rollout of an ERP solution. Murphy engaged Nine Feet Tall to support the programme management, playing an advisory role and providing delivery support where required including the coordination and planning, cutover management and governance structure.
The programme was delivered successfully with a multi-national the rollout of an advanced ERP system. Nine Feet Tall was cited as one of the key contributors to the success of the programme.
Murphy Group has over 1600 operatives in their workforce that are mobile across various parts of England and work across five different sectors; Rail, Power, Water, Natural Resources and Construction, Development and Property Services. As part of their 10-year plan, they wanted to implement a new workforce management solution, to enable their teams to work efficiently wherever they were based. Murphy engaged NFT to support the vendor selection process, gathering high-level requirements from their operative function leads, and using this as the basis of the tender documentation. Nine Feet Tall developed a high-level business case, presenting clear options to the Board.Murphy engaged with option 3 presented in the business case. Which was to implement a new product that can be configured to different parts of the mobile workforce.
